If Prabowo Becomes President, Will Form Special Ministry of Natural Disasters
Go Fakta. Prabowo Subianto, Candidate for President and General Chair of the Gerindra party will make a plan to form a special ministry to deal with victims of natural disasters that need assistance from the government, if he is elected as the next President in the upcoming period.
The thought came to mind Prabowo Subianto because basically some islands in Indonesia were islands prone to natural disasters, and in the end Prabowo decided to create a new Ministry to deal with natural disaster relief.
"We are thinking about it (forming a ministry specifically dealing with natural disasters), because many countries have special bodies like that, I think we are thinking like that, because our region is like this (disaster-prone) so we must be ready," said Prabowo when visiting refugee camps for tsunami, earthquake and liquefaction victims in Mpanau Village, Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi, in a press release on Wednesday (01/09/2018)
"We live in an area that must be ready to face disasters, because of course we must think far ahead we must prepare our facilities and resources so that we are better prepared to face disasters and can quickly help the people," said the General Chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP.
Prabowo Subianto was present in several regions in Central Sulawesi Province such as Palu City, Sigi Regency, and Donggala Regency in order to carry out humanitarian missions and tasks to dialogue and meet directly with the victims of the earthquake, tsunami and liquefaction natural disasters that occurred some time ago.
Chairman of the Central Sulawesi Gerindra Party DPD, Longki Djanggola explained that in his activities in the Central Sulawesi Province there was no campaign agenda carried out by Prabowo Subianto. Prabowo will also visit refugee camps for victims of natural disasters to ensure that the assistance he provides is right on target and useful for victims.
"He visited what he ordered to build in the Sigi area. And now the assistance has been utilized by the community. And of course his visit will also meet together with community leaders, religious leaders here, so there is no campaign program during his visit here, "Longki explained.
On this occasion, Prabowo also expressed his gratitude to the people of Central Sulawesi who have welcomed him well. He also expressed his deep sorrow to the families of victims affected by natural disasters some time ago.
